Meet the Team

  • Dr Boman
    Dawn Boman, MS, DVM

I grew up in Imperial Beach and south bay and in fact the first time I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian was right here at Imperial Beach Pet Hospital! I was just four years old, bringing in my bunny, Flopsy, to see Dr. McCoy!  What a pleasure it is to come full circle, to purchase this clinic and continue to provide care to the residents of Imperial Beach and south county.

I really enjoy working on all furry, feathered and scaly friends but now focus my practice on dogs and cats.  A lot of my practice has been focused on rescue pets, which have their own special challenges and that's why I am a Fear Free Certified Veterinarian.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, SCUBA, hiking, cooking and spending time with my husband Erik and two crazy dogs, Sam Sheepdog and Dug or lounging on the couch binge watching TV with the kitties Beamer or Maeby.

I am so looking forward to seeing you all at IB Pet Hospital!
